WHERE TO BUY FIRST BITCOIN

WHERE TO BUY FIRST BITCOIN

I was talking to a tech friend of mine about where to buy first bitcoin. He didn’t want to do face to face. The chances of getting robbed these days was just not worth the risk. So I told him to try COIN.MX. He called me back last night with great news that it worked out for him. His experience with COIN.MX was a good one. Now he can give his wife her first bitcoin for christmas.

Bitcoin is a software-based online payment system described by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008 and introduced as open-source software in 2009. A peer-to-peer client records transactions in a shared, public ledger denominated in its own unit of account, which is also called bitcoin. Because it lacks a central repository or single administrator, the US Treasury has called bitcoin a decentralized virtual currency. Media reports often refer to bitcoin as a cryptocurrency or digital currency.

WIRELESS NETWORK CONNECTION TAKES LONG TO CONNECT

WIRELESS NETWORK CONNECTION TAKES LONG TO CONNECT

This is for XP/Vista,but hopefully ,7 will be similar.

You would be looking for wlan/or wzc AND some d-link wireless manager manager associated with the wireless card running simultaneously.
Check your Services are Started on all PCs:
• COM+ Event System (for WZC issues)
• Computer Browser
• DHCP Client
• DNS Client
• Network Connections
• Network Location Awareness
• Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
• Server
• TCP/IP Netbios helper
• Wireless Zero Configuration (XP wireless configurations)
• WLAN AutoConfig (Vista wireless configurations) This would be the Vista default wireless manager, for example.
• Workstation

Note: You can check the services in Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services.

All of these services should be started, and their startup type should be automatic (or perhaps manual).

If a service is not running, open it’s properties and check the dependencies. Check each of the dependencies and see which one is preventing the service from running. Checking the event log is also a good idea here, there may be clues to what is failing.

WIRED NETWORK CONNECTION TAKES TOO LONG TO CONNECT

WIRED NETWORK CONNECTION TAKES TOO LONG TO CONNECT

You have to run msconfig. (from start menu type “Run” and start the run app then enter msconfig).

FOR MORE DETAILS CONSULT THE LINKS BELOW…

HOW TO RUN MSCONFIG IN WINDOWS 8

HOW TO RUN MSCONFIG IN WINDOWS 7

HOW TO RUN MSCONFIG IN WINDOWS VISTA
HOW TO RUN MSCONFIG IN WINDOWS XP

Once inside that click on the SERVICES tab

Then in that tab, down below hit the check box for “Hide all Microsoft Services”

Now in your list of services just disable them one by one and restart your pc until you find the buggy service. I started disabling the weird looking ones or the newer ones first.

Remember you are going to disable one of the services and then restart to see if that one was the problem. Keep going until you find the problem.

My issue was with Nvidia streaming and network services. When the next Nvidia update comes around I’ll see if they fix the issue.

After you find the buggy service just enable the rest of the stuff you disabled while testing.

Good luck!

OBSERVIUM NETWORK TOOL

OBSERVIUM NETWORK TOOL

I was talking to a network person this week and one thing led to another and he logged into his system remotely and showed me observium. I was completeley blown by the concept. He had observium running on ubuntu server which was running virtually on windows server. He was testing it out… Eventually, he is going to run it on its own machine… but I have to say for a network monitoring software it is truly amazing… I still can’t believe php and mysql have come this far.

OBSERVIUM UBUNTU TUTORIAL

OBSERVIUM DEMO LINK

Observium is a PHP/MySQL-based Network Observation and Monitoring System (NOMS) which collects data from devices using SNMP and presents it via a web interface. It makes heavy use of the RRDtool package. Observium has a number of simple core design goals driving its development: minimum interaction, maximum automation and maximum accessibility of information. These design goals have resulted in a slightly unconventional monitoring system with almost no individually customisable settings per device, and where almost everything that can be monitored is automatically discovered.

Observium has changed names a few times from Project Observer (2006–2008) to ObserverNMS (2008–2010) and finally to Observium
