First things first… graphic artist… copiers typically paint their pallete in cmyk so please restrict your pallete accordingly… if not then some copiers will not render images correctly… in the correct range of colors… you can do this a couple of ways… depending on your image your success will vary…
Pantone and ICC works best with Fiery controllers. Fiery controllers extend the range of colors of the copiers.
NOTE: Be aware that it is possible to see colors in RGB that you can’t make with CMYK.
They are said to be “out of the CMYK color gamut”. What happens is that the RGB-to-CMYK translator just gets as close as possible to the appearance of the original and that’s as good as it can be. It’s something that everyone in the industry puts up with. So it’s best to select any colors you use for fonts or other design elements in your layout using CMYK definitions instead of RGB.
NOTE: The following programs do not have the capability to convert to CMYK.
Adobe Photoshop LE

You will usually be looking for this driver if you have an issue with a usb adapter of some kind… or had problems installing a printer…
if your issue is caused by bad printer install… completely uninstall the printer… unplug printer and reboot… then restart… reinstall printer driver… and plug in printer when requested…
if you are using an adapter like a usb to parallel adapter then your next step is to uninstall driver unplug adapter… turn off printer… reboot… then turn on printer if its a driver that requests when printer plugs in then go with that… if not then your next step is to plug in adapter and let windows guide you through the process… if you have time let windows update get the right driver… if not refuse and let windows pull it from pc… if all is good good… if not then uninstall all and install generic Generic IEEE 1284.4 printing support driver and uninstall printer and then try again…
The simplest thing to do is to replace the main board but if you are game then this is a pretty good option if the board is already DEAD… you just need one of those really small phillips screw drivers and a heat gun
(DEAD MEANS THE HARD RESET DOES NOT WORK AND THE CONTROL ALT DELETE TRICK DOES NOT WORK AND YOU RESEATED RAM AND CHECKED DISPLAY CONNECTIONS TO THE MAINBOARD AND THE ISSUE IS NOT RESOLVED… ITS GETTING WORSE OR JUST A PLAIN BLACK SCREEN)
If you have worked on your designjet and found that priming the printhead and purging the tube does not work for you and you have to replace the ink tube system then this tutorial will guide you through that situation.
