WIFI CONNECTED BUT NO INTERNET

I had this problem today. I was working with a customer who was unable to access the internet from their tablet. We verified the connection to the router. We then checked for the webpages but nothing. Checked the dns. It was set to the router. I changed it to google public dns 8.8.8.8 (secondary dns is 8.8.4.4) issue resolved…

Step 1

Press the “Menu” button on the Android. Tap “Settings.”
Step 2

Tap “Wireless & Networks.” Tap “Wi-Fi Settings.”

Step 3

Press the “Menu” button. Tap “Advanced.”
Step 4

Tap “DNS 1.” Press and hold the backspace key to erase the existing DNS, and then type the new primary DNS address into the text field. Tap “OK.”
Step 5

Tap “DNS 2.” Erase the old DNS address, and then enter the new secondary DNS server address using the on-screen keyboard. Press the “Back” button four times to return to the home screen.
