WINDOWS: HOW TO CREATE HIDDEN USERS AND HIDDEN SHARES

WINDOWS: HOW TO CREATE HIDDEN USERS AND HIDDEN SHARES

I got tired of people deleting folders and user accounts after I set up scanning. Even though, they had to pay me to fix the problem that they they created so I sat down and figured this out…

In windows 10, I typically create a local user account for scanning and in windows 7 and back I create a regular user account… For servers.. the IT mgr typically creates a user account with priviledges only for the scan folder… whether they are on the domain or workgroup…

I typically stay far from homegroup…

LETS FIRST DEAL WITH THE FOLDER

to hide a folder from other share users
add a ‘$’ in its name…
to hide a folder make it invisible on the computer…
click folder properties and select hide
you will only find it if you goto organize and view hidden from folders and search options…

LETS HIDE USER ACCOUNTS
