BROTHER: INTERMITTENT MISSING TEXT

BROTHER: INTERMITTENT MISSING TEXT

If you are having issues where your printer is intermittently missing words or parts of words… not white spots through whole lines… but text… words… and such… the following should work for brother machines… I have these ideas with other printers seeing similar issues with great results…

1. corrupt firmware…
Firmware corruption can be caused by power surges or failing boards…
try this and see if the issue reoccurs…
if it gets fixed where it does not occur for a month
and then reoccurs…
you have a board problem…

2. it could be an issue with your pdfs…
dont print pdfs as text but as an image…
best option is to change how your pdf application prints…
From the application,
select File => Print, and then click Advanced.
Check the Print as image option.
Click OK to close the Advanced Print Setup dialog box,
and then click OK.

3. use kmdeleter to completely remove your previous driver installation…
you could try installing the universal brother pcl print driver and making it default then reboot… corrupt print drivers can cause this issue…

4. use kmdeleter to completely remove your previous driver installation…
you could try installing the universal brother postscript driver and making it default then reboot… corrupt print drivers can cause this issue

5. it could be a font issue…
calibri font is known to cause this problem
to fix this uncheck the advanced features check box in the print driver…
