WINDOWS: PRINT DRIVERS NOT SHOWING UP IN DEVICES AND PRINTERS WORK AROUND

If you find yourself in a situation where you install print drivers and they don’t show up in device and printers and you need to edit them…

Here are some options…

1. Try rebooting… and check if the issue changes… if it does not…
2. Update windows… if nothing changes…
3. You are going to have to work with it…
4. Here is how to find the print drivers to edit them…
5. from firefox… select print… then print again this opens the print using systems dialog menu
6. from chrome… select print… then select print using system system dialog
7. note cntrl+shift+P only works in chrome…
8. as for explorer… if you have an older version of explorer its print and then select print again…
9. for newer versions its broken…
10. Now once you get to the print using system dialog menu
11. right click on the printer click properties… and you are where you need to be…
12. from the print dialog you can also delete printers… make them default…
13. from open you can change printer name… preferences and such… if anything is greyed out…
14. right click and open as administrator… this opens print queue then select printer then preferences…
