UBUNTU: FIREFOX NOT WORKING…


If you have logged into firefox and find that you are online but unable to surf. It just keeps on thinking and thinking.

First step
install chromium and see if you can surf… if you can then the issue is firefox and not your network connection… you might get an avahi error… but if chromium works then avahi is irrelevant.

Second step…
back up bookmarks
export passwords

Third Step…
Refresh your browser and restore your browser settings as last part of process if possible… if not

Fourth step…
import bookmarks
restore bookmarks from backups
then user ff-password-exporter to import passwords…

Fifth step…
If that does not work… uninstall… clear all firefox related data out… reboot… reboot again… then reinstall firefox… then perform Fourth Step… verify all is good… then you are done…
