MULTIPLE IP ADDRESS ON ONE COMPUTER OR ONE PRINTER

MULTIPLE IP ADDRESS ON ONE COMPUTER OR ONE PRINTER

I FACED AN ISSUE WHERE I FOUND A PRINTER THAT DID NOT USE THE IP ADDRESS THAT WAS STATICALLY ASSIGNED TO IT BUT USED ONE THAT WAS ASSIGNED SOMEWHERE ELSE ON THE NETWORK…

THIS LED ME TO REALIZE THAT….

1. YOU CAN GIVE YOUR PRINTER MULTIPLE IP ADDRESSES BY SETTINGS ON THE PRINTER AND/OR THROUGH THE NETWORK CONFIGURATIONS.

2. YOU CAN ALSO GIVE ONE COMPUTER MULTIPLE IP ADDRESSES… THIS CAN ALLOW A COMPUTER TO HAVE ACCESS TO MULTIPLE NETWORKS.

3. YOU CAN SHARE PRINTER FROM ONE COMPUTER BUT GIVE THAT COMPUTER MULTIPLE IP ADDRESSES SO ITS VISIBLE ON MULTIPLE IP RANGES…

BELOW ARE SOME LINKS THAT DISPLAY THE RESULTS OF MY RESEARCH.
