LINUX REMOTELY HOSTED SYSTEMS AND PRINTERS

When installing a printer, on a remotely maintained and supported system linux system, you must do the following:

1.  MAKE SURE THE PRINTER IS CORRECTLY ALIGNED AND PRINTING CORRECTLY.

2. THEN IF POSSIBLE INSTALL THE PRINT DRIVER AND VERIFY OPERATION

3.  IF UNABLE TO INSTALL PRINT DRIVER DUE TO SYSTEM POLICY THEN YOU MUST HAVE SUPPORT PERSONNEL DO IT.

4.  IF PRINT DRIVER NOT CORRECTLY ALIGNED THEN YOU MUST CORRECT ISSUE ON PRINTER BY CORRECTING THE MARGINS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

5.  IF MARGIN CORRECTION DISRUPTS NORMAL PRINTING THEN RETURN MARGIN TO OPTIMAL CORRECT SETTING FOR REGULAR PRINTING

6.  HAVE NETWORK SUPPORT ADJUST PRINTING FROM THEIR END.  THEY WILL NEED A COPY OF A GOOD PRINT OUT AND A COPY OF BAD PRINTOUT.
