SCAN TO EMAIL AND SSL… SERVER CONNECTION ERROR




If you are trying to setup scan to email on a bizhub and you run into an issue where you are using an email with ssl and you get server connection error. Your smtp server may not need authentication.

if you are using gmail then you need the following settings
So SMTP smtp.gmail.com
with 465 port
with SSL
and your gmail account as authentication works.
domain mail.google.com

if still having problems then you need to make the machine give you a very wordy or verbose error message…

you need to switch on the network error code display function link

If you are still having problems then you might fall into that ssl email server that just does not connect right with copier or some copiers. Time to find another solution.

and if you are still unable to get ssl to work then install argosoft and use it as your smtp server… Its a lot less head ache.
