It is very possible for windows print drivers to crash windows server. Beware when sharing print drivers on servers or putting any print drivers on servers. The server may just be stressed to the point that one more thing can brake its back. This has happened to me a couple of times. Best policy is to install print drivers on individual computers or sparing that then atleast have the IT Manager handy. It could get pretty hairy if worst comes to worst.

If it comes down to it that you have to remove the print driver…usually deleting it should be enough. If you have to do a cleaner delete then use KM DELETER

Usually just deleting the driver is enough.

Side Note:

If you install scanner software on the server. Beware that the scanner software might require an exception in the firewall and if the firewall is down or not configured correctly then there goes your server again.
