FILE SYSTEM MAXIMUM PARTITION SIZES FOR MAC OS X, LINUX AND WINDOWS




Here is a list of the maximimu partition sizes for file systems used on MAC OS X, LINUX and WINDOWS
FAT 12 supports maximum partition size of 8 MB
FAT 16 supports maximum partition size of 4 GB
FAT 32 supports maximum partition size of 32 GB
NTFS supports maximum partition size of 2 TB
EXFAT supports maximum partition size of 256 TB
HFS+ supports maximum partition size of 8 EB
EX 2 supports maximum partition size of 32 TB
EX 3 supports maximum partition size of 32 TB
EX 4 supports maximum partition size of 1 EB
REISER FS supports maximum partition of 16 TB
JFS supports maximum partition of 32 PB
XFS supports maximum partition of 8 EB
