I ran into a situation where a copier that I installed refused to send any files that it created as pdf. The logical thing to do would be to fix the machine but sometime that is just not cost effective. ergo this situation…. So I decided to get creative… I researched tiff to pdf converters…
FOXPDF TO TIFF CONVERTER
X360 TIFF TO PDF CONVERTER
BOXOFT TIFF TO PDF CONVERTER
CHIEF PDF IMAGE TO PDF CONVERTER
Now I said to myself, thats nice but I need do this from the command line…
Thats when I ran into nconvert
and then I said…. ok now what about converting a folder full of files or batch scripting
Thats when I found nconvert manual and code examples
I also ran into c42pdf…. it had some interesting possiblities for tiff to pdf conversion
I then did some research on imagemagick, ghostscript, powershell, perl and python and tiff to pdf conversion just for the sake of completion…
