HOW TO INSTALL A PRINT DRIVER FROM A SERVER OR REMOTELY

If you are a copier install tech or an IT person, you will run into this situation eventually. You show up at a site and the server admin installs the print driver on a server and he wants you to pull it from there. It is simple. If you don’t know then it can make you look stupid.

1. Click Start, Run
2. Type the remote computername, {computername}
2a.Alternately you can just type it in the explorer user face address line.
3. Open Printers and Faxes
4. Right-click in an open area and choose Server Properties
5. In the new window, choose the Drivers tab and click the Add button
