What happens if you are trying to install a driver and you get a stop error
0x000000B stop error for example…

Your best bet is to do a quick restart your computer if you haven’t already done so.

Strangely many issues in windows are resolved by this step. Stop errors are no different.

Verify that you have the latest version of the driver you wish to install.

Verify that a minimum amount of free space is available on your Windows partition. I have had issues with scanning becuase of this.

Note: Microsoft recommends that you maintain at least 100MB of free space but I regularly see problems with free space that low. I usually advise Windows users to keep at least 5% of a drive’s capacity free at all times.

Do a quick virus scan. An infected computer is an error prone computer.

Either you or the computer administrator, whichever is authorized, should apply all service packs and updates.
